September 2nd Never Let Me Go will screen
at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado this Friday, reports
THR. That's tomorrow! It was announced on June 28th according to their
site. Kazuo Ishiguro will be there signing copies of the novel too.
With an unusually busy film
marketplace this year, Variety
reports that many films, including Toronto closer Last Night, may show
earlier to prospective buyer markets.

August 26th Keira will not be at the
Toronto Film Festival, her agent told me today. She will, however, be attending
the Never Let Me Go European premiere at the opening of the London Film
Festival on October 13th.

August 25th - The official Never Let
Me Go site
is now fully online. Wait for the Flash screen to load then click Open

posters have been released to promote Never Let Me Go.

August 24th Details are out now of screening
times at Toronto of Never
Let Me Go (September 11th, 13th, 18th) and Last
Night (September 18th). Keira is not on the expected attendees
list, although she is expected
for the London premiere in October.
ITV's police drama The Bill
is coming to an end soon, and there's a special programme
next Tuesday celebrating the show and its stars, including of course Keira
in the 1995 episode Swan
Song.
August 21st Another official Last
Night still has been released to accompany the news that the movie
will close Toronto. There are others
of course, and a teaser
which we posted back in December.
It's amazing what you find
going through your old VHS tapes. I've uploaded this
clip of Keira's mum Sharman Macdonald in a 1983 episode of sitcom The
Gaffer. Check out the karate moves! According to IMDb this was her last
acting credit before she turned to writing full-time. Keira came along
a couple of years later. She even does a Yorkshire accent - sometimes.
August 17th Last Night will close the
Toronto Film Festival on September 19th, it was announced
today. An official release schedule surely can't be far off? It's been
a long time coming, but kudos to Filmyard for getting this on the slate
so soon after acquiring the remains of Miramax. The article also mentions
London Boulevard but it's hard to tell if it's just a round-up of Keira's
forthcoming movies - it doesn't appear in the line-up.
So that's four premieres in six weeks for Keira: two at Toronto FF, one
at London FF and the London Boulevard premiere somewhere in early October.
August 15th An article concerning Keira's
private life was published today, which KeiraWeb never republishes in this
column (although it'll be on the automatic Newswire at the link above).
At the end of it was the interesting tidbit that Keira is to tour the world
promoting Never Let Me Go! Presumably 'the world' means UK, Canada and
US where it will get premieres.

August 13th The soundtrack CD for Never
Let Me Go will be released
in the US on September 14th, and Mark Romanek has tweeted
to say it will include the titular song. And tv.com is asking for your
review
of the movie - before it comes out...

August 6th Despite its October 13th
premiere, AP reports
Never Let Me Go will not be released until January 14th in the UK. However,
this is still two weeks earlier than the date announced last week. Meanwhile,
there's lots of press
on the movie being the launch film at the LFF, and the Telegraph provides
a very good review.
August 5th Never Let Me Go will get
its European premiere on October 13th as the launch movie of the 2010 London
Film Festival. With London Boulevard still set for an October 15th UK release,
it's currently looking like two premieres in a week for Keira. Article

July 31st Keira is among a number
of female celebs who have been photographed by Nick Haddow for a book project
called MySafePlace. The brainchild of actress Emma Thompson, it aims to
raise funds and awareness for the Helen
Bamber Foundation, which helps to rebuild lives for survivors of human
rights violations. Photographs collected so far, including Keira's, can
be seen at mysafeplace.co.uk.
A couple more new photos can be seen at sweet-keira.
July 29th Never Let Me Go has now
appeared on the UK cinema release calendar with a date of January 28th.
It's no coincidence, surely, that this is just three days after the Oscar
nominations are announced.
Also, in a new Italian interview
with Sam Worthington, he says Last Night will premiere at the Toronto Film
Festival.
